Description
The
Microplate illuminator
is a next generation device designed for the sequential illumination of wells in a microtitre plate to assist with manual pipetting.
The unit has a small footprint and receives its power via a USB cable by which it also communicates with its software which resides on a separate PC.
The unit is designed for use in North America and Europe and is CE marked.

The user
steps
through the illumination sequence using either a hand button, or foot switch

The intuitive PC software enables the unit to be used in Manual, Custom or Results mode
Operation
The software on the PC is used to select one of three operating modes
In
manual mode,
96 wells are illuminated in turn, either one well, or one column, or one row at a time
In
custom mode
a sub-set of wells is defined and illuminated one well at a time
In
results mode
the software is used to select a subset of wells by comparing well readings previously entered into an Excel spreadsheet against predetermined thresholds. The wells selected above the threshold are sequentially illuminated
In all modes the user steps through the sequence using either a fascia mounted button or a footswitch.
