MAGNETIC SAMPLE ROTATOR (MSR)

Description

 

The Magnetic Sample Rotator is a product in the VITL product range which has been specifically designed for chemistries requiring the incubation, mixing and magnetic pull down of paramagnetic solid phase particles. It has two thermally-linked incubation compartments, mounted side by side, with independently opening opaque lids. Each compartment holds 3 tube racks into which removable magnets can be placed. The temperature, rotation speed and time are set using a user-friendly keypad and LED display.

The unit is designed for use in North America and Europe and is CE marked.

  Operation

Temperature, rotation rate and time are set via an intuitive keypad and LED display. Tubes are loaded into the racks which are loaded on horizontally mounted spindles in either of the pre-heated incubation compartments. The magnets for pull down can be inserted into the racks as required – either during, or after, incubation. At the predetermined time an alarm will sound telling the operator that the incubation time is over. The tubes will continue to be rotated and the temperature maintained until the operator intervenes. If the operator does not respond to the alarm it will sound every 5 seconds after completion of count down. If either lid is opened during operation then rotation automatically ceases.
