Engineering and Product Change Control Management

At ITL engineering design and configuration control is of paramount importance.

Any product change is controlled by the Corrective Action Request (CAR) Board who consider all CAR submissions case-by-case. This Board includes appropriate personnel from all areas of ITL including Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Design and Development.

The source of a CAR could be any department at ITL or it could be a department within your Company. Once raised, a CAR will be evaluated by the Board and the implications documented and communicated to you. No change is implemented without notification to and approval by you.

On approval of a change, an Engineering Change Order (ECO) is issued. This will be incorporated into the Technical File for the product and will be copied to you, thus ensuring that change is directly reflected in the design documentation and cuts in at the appropriate time in manufacturing to minimise technical and commercial impact.
